The Fort Myers community is mourning the devastating loss of Mandee Connor, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and dedicated caregiver, who tragically died following an accident in Fort Myers, Florida. Her sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and the broader community she so warmly served.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mandee had made Fort Myers her home and poured her heart into making a difference in the lives of others. She was the cherished wife of Battalion Chief Jimmy Connor of the Fort Myers Fire Department (FMFD), and their union was described as one built on love, strength, and unwavering support.
In a heartfelt statement, the Fort Myers Fire Department shared,
“It is with heavy hearts that we write this, as Battalion Chief Connor has unexpectedly lost his loving wife, Mandee Connor. Mandee was part of the FMFD family, and many of us were fortunate to spend time with her over the years. We ask that you keep the Connor family in your thoughts.”
Mandee devoted her professional life to caring for children and families across Lee County. As a compassionate member of the FOCUS Therapy team, she played a critical role in providing evaluations, therapies, and support services including speech, occupational, physical, and ABA therapy, as well as autism diagnostic services—both in-person and through teletherapy across Florida. Her passion for helping children thrive was evident in every life she touched.
